# bindro — Churches and congregations > Bindro takes sign-ups for church events — retreats, concerts, suppers, holiday clubs and classes — by household rather than by individual. A place can be priced pay-what-you-can inside a band the church publishes, a gift can be added on top with a tax receipt issued against the church's registered charity number, a guardian countersigns for every child from their own email before that child can be checked in, and the door works on a printed or offline name list in a hall with no signal. It costs 2.5% + $0.99 per paid place; free events cost nothing. Regular worship services are not ticketed and are out of scope. Canonical page: https://bindro.io/vertical/church-event-registration/ Reviewed: 2026-08-09 ## Facts - Inventory model: fixed pool. - Pricing models: flat, pay what you can, group rate. - Fees: 2.5% + $0.99 per paid place; free events cost nothing. - Payouts: one payout per event, released 2 days after that event's LAST session has ended (low risk tier, 0% reserve). Never before delivery, and an event sold as a run of dates pays out once, after the final date. - Check-in: name list, works offline. Visitors can come back in: a scan after they were admitted reads as a re-entry rather than a used code, at whichever entrance they come back to, and says when they first arrived. A second scan within a few minutes of the first is still read as the same code presented twice, so a screenshot passed down the queue does not get anybody in. The visit is counted once however often it is scanned. - Joining: free, alone, in minutes. No contract, no monthly fee and no card at signup. A payout destination is verified before the first payout, never before the first sale. - Booking fee default: the attendee pays it. A church can absorb it or split it per event; the fee itself does not change with the choice, only which side of the sale it comes from. - Overselling is structurally impossible: inventory moves only under a row lock inside the transaction that confirms the order, with a database constraint behind that as a backstop rather than as the mechanism. - The number this vertical is run on: Participation per event. Also tracked: donation attach rate, volunteer fill rate, household return rate. The console computes the north-star figure and prints the arithmetic under it, beside this church's own funnel with the drop-off at each stage, where the traffic came from, refund, transfer, turnout, no-show, add-on and repeat rates each shown with its numerator and denominator, gross, fees and refunds per event, live remaining capacity during the event, and CSV exports of orders and attendees. A step the platform cannot observe says so rather than reporting a zero. - Data export: orders and attendees as CSV from the console at any time, behind a fresh one-time code. No export fee, no notice period, no lock-in. - Required before checkout, enforced on the money path: Parent/guardian consent for attendees under 18; Volunteer background check for work with minors. ## Not supported for this vertical - Running background checks on volunteers. Bindro collects the safeguarding declaration before checkout and records who is rostered to which shift; it does not run DBS, police or reference checks, and it does not refuse a rota entry because a check is missing. That part stays with your safeguarding lead. - Regular worship services. They are not ticketed, and this vertical deliberately excludes them — bindro has nothing useful to say about a Sunday morning. - Recurring giving, standing orders and annual giving statements. Subscriptions are not resolved for congregations, and payouts settle per delivered event, so money taken outside an event would have nothing to settle against. It is off on purpose. - Being a church management system. There is no membership database, no pastoral records, no worship-service planning and no Sunday attendance tracking. Bindro handles the event and hands you the data. - Waitlists. When an event is fully booked it is fully booked — there is no queue that promotes people automatically when someone drops out. - Membership-verified pricing. Member and non-member prices exist as a pricing model, but checking someone against a membership roster is not enabled for congregations, so a member price here is a published price rather than a verified entitlement. - Multi-day retreat agendas where each person picks their own sessions, class packs, document upload, add-on merchandise, invoicing a partner organisation, gift cards, season passes and sales tax. All configured as optional for congregations and none currently turned on — a direct call to any of them is refused, not quietly ignored. ## Questions the landing page answers - What does bindro do about safeguarding, exactly? - Is pay-what-you-can actually safe for a church budget? - What does a retreat weekend actually look like on bindro? - What if the church already runs Planning Center or Tithe.ly? - How much of this is set up before the church office touches anything? https://bindro.io/vertical/church-event-registration/ ## Pages - FAQ (28 questions): https://bindro.io/vertical/church-event-registration/faq/ - bindro vs Planning Center: https://bindro.io/vertical/church-event-registration/compare/planning-center/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - bindro vs Tithe.ly: https://bindro.io/vertical/church-event-registration/compare/tithely/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - bindro vs TicketSpice: https://bindro.io/vertical/church-event-registration/compare/ticketspice/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - How to run a pay-what-you-can church event without wrecking the budget: https://bindro.io/vertical/church-event-registration/blog/pay-what-you-can-church-events/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - How to take church event sign-ups by household instead of by person: https://bindro.io/vertical/church-event-registration/blog/registering-households-not-individuals/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - Safeguarding and consent for church youth events: what software can and cannot do: https://bindro.io/vertical/church-event-registration/blog/safeguarding-and-consent-for-church-youth-events/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - Running the door at a church event in a hall with no signal: https://bindro.io/vertical/church-event-registration/blog/church-hall-check-in-with-no-wifi/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - What to put in front of the church council or a grant funder after an event: https://bindro.io/vertical/church-event-registration/blog/reporting-church-events-to-your-board-and-funders/ (reviewed 2026-08-09)
